State Police troopers were dispatched to a Degarmo Hills Road at approximately 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday night, following reports of a domestic dispute involving a man in possession of a knife.
Police said that further investigation into the incident determined that Wappinger resident Nathan Lee, 25, had stabbed his landlord - who lives in the same house - several times with a kitchen knife. Lee was taken into custody without incident and taken to Vassar Hospital for treatment for injuries, while his victim was taken to Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital in stable condition.
After being treated for non-life-threatening injuries, Lee was charged with a felony count of assault and criminal possession of a weapon, a misdemeanor. Following arraignment, Lee was remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail or $40,000 bond. He is due back in the Wappinger Court later this year to answer the charges.
